Style Study

I was inspred by the Skylanders Double Trouble and it made me think about odd mythologies like Haiwaiian and African, something that isn't Greek or Roman that have been done to death and back.

 I looked at African masks and Tiki heads. Little guy didn't take me long and he was quick speed sculpt. Didn't want too much detail; was more focused on doing a style like Tak and the Powers of Juju kind of thing. I might polypaint him during my odd weekends

With mythology and styles in mind I am redid my own zodiac character's outfit and did some style sketches. Broaden my scope in cartoon styles and get a feel for the outfit, see how it would look.

Still a work in progress;  I want to improve my mountain scene and do a more detailed environment. I have some ideas for particles but that depends on render time. I have fibers for the hair, so XSI uses shave and a haircut and I wanted to get use to it again. I will do another character with fibers in Maya, so I cover my bases and get some feel for all of the hair tools in as many programs as I can.

I am doing all of my personal work on the weekends and the week is for work; so Wednesdays nights are for updating and showing off. So it will a lot of end of the month Wednesdays for updating and personal work views.
